Contopus virens

Eastern Wood-pewee

Flycatchers / Atrapamoscas
The Eastern Wood-pewee (Contopus virens) migrates further south than most species, with birds spread across the Amazonian foothills and lowlands during the winter months. On their long journey north and south, birds can be found across a wide range of habitats but with apparent concentrations in humid foothills along Colombia’s Caribbean coast.
